In 2004, at the age of 37, I started getting pigmentation appearing on my cheeks. Sun exposure, combined with being on the contraceptive pill since the age of 17 for acne, my age and being Indian and having hereditary pigmentation, the situation just got worse. What started as small marks on my cheeks started to spread and eventually completely covered my cheekbones. I hated it. It was so embarrassing for me and it affected my confidence. I used layers of foundation to try and hide the marks. I could never get a foundation colour that matched my yellow undertone so my foundation always looked like foundation. It got progressively worse and darker. Eventually I decided to start dealing with the pigmentation. I spent about 12 years using any and every pigmentation cream and  treatment I could get my hands on. Nothing worked. I was so frustrated by then that I just stopped everything. I started researching natural solutions to get rid of pigmentation. I created a routine for myself with my own blend of natural creams, oils and other ingredients. Amazingly after the first 2 months I started to see my marks start to lighten. I thought nothing of it as I figured I was just imagining it. I wish I had taken pictures when my skin was at its worst but back then I was too embarrassed to let anyone see me without makeup. I also started to notice that I used less foundation. I knew beyond a doubt that the pigmentation was vanishing when people around me started noticing and commenting on how good my skin looked. I always thought that as you got older your skin got worse but that is not the case. I turned 53 in 2020 and I love my skin. People who saw the difference in my skin asked what I was using so I started to give them my products and slowly I realized that people loved the products and that it worked for others too…This was the birth of AgePure.
